Let us read 1 Corinthians 2: 6-12.

I would like to look at verse 9 for some minutes. And let us for a short while try to find out: “The things which God hath prepared for them that loves him.”

God is love. And his joy is to work for the people. He is not satisfied whithout having some to love. And he has done much more than we can understand. Read the beginning of v.9: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them…”

I am sure that it will take many years, in heaven, to see how much God has prepared for us. We shall be rich one day if we are believers of Christ. But we are rich already today. We are poor if we look at ourselves. We are rich if we look at Christ and on what he has done for us.

We can´t count all the things which God has prepared. Three things will be enough today.

  1. God has prepared: Salvation and forgiveness. Philippians 2:5-8. “Christ humbled himself, and became obedient unto death” Matthew 9:6. “The Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins.” The salvation and forgiveness is prepared by God. The big question is: If you need salvation and forgiveness. Do you need it?           John 19:30. What is finished? The salvation. Who finished it? God through Christ.                                                                                                                                                         Galatians 4:4-5. “God sent” It is easy to say, but it wasn´t so easy for God to do. Why did God send his Son? “To redeem them that where under the law.”
  2. God has prepared: Food and help for the journey from this earth unto heaven. Do you remember the first Passover for the Children of Israel.  Exodus 12: 7-13 …    Matthew 15:32 “They have nothing to eat” “I will not send them away fasting” What do you think God wants to do today? To give you spiritual food. Do you need help this moment? Do you feel hunger? Matthew 26:18 …
  3. God has prepared: A heaven. John 14:2 Who is speaking here? “I go to prepare ”. What is he preparing? ”a place for you”  Do you need a home for eternity? The place is prepared for you.                                                                                                                                                    God has prepared much more for us. What do you feel a need of right now? I think: to give God thanks. But God wants to listen to humble souls asking for forgiveness.
